A few of my best friends from growing up live in Manhattan and I had been long overdue for a visit. So, after some great persistence (on their part), I was finally convinced to plan a weekend visit.
Two of my friends were running in the NYC Marathon. We planned that weekend so we could cheer them on.
We ate out for brunch and in for dinner. Both were “Allie-friendly” experiences. Check out my weekend captured in photos below to see my fun and food allergy free weekend!
Snacking on my way to NYC! 88 Acres bars are one of my fave safe snacks, whether outdoor adventuring or on the go traveling!
My friend and I out and about.
Rosemary’s Enoteca & Trattoria
Located in the West Village of downtown Manhattan
Delicious, everything!
Salumi & Formaggi
Enjoying brunch! The manager, chef, and server were wonderful with my food allergies. They answered every question and made sure each dish was safe. My chef card was a major help for having a safe meal & trying foods I don’t often have!
My talented friend cooked a lovely meal the night before running the NYC marathon. She’s amazing!
My friend always makes everything “Allie safe” and food allergy free for me. I am blessed to have such an incredible friend!
Carbs & Kale :)
Dessert: Apple Crisp…Yum!
The three of us hanging out :)
Local coffee. A small, neighborhood coffee shop.
Even though they were busy, they were happy to clean the steamer before making my latte.
On the go: Cab and Coffee.
Almost there!
Go, go, go!!!
Another fabulous weekend in the city! I can’t wait to return for more friend visits and gastronomic excellence. Thank you, NYC! <3
